The program supports most popular email providers (Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, Hotmails, POP etc.) as well as Facebook and Twitter. All your content is downloaded into a local database from where you can read your email, reply to messages, run advanced searches, and more. Zimbra Desktop also includes a contact manager, a to-do list and a calendar for your appointments and events. Other features include and email conversation view, message tagging, calender and contacts sync, Yahoo! Maps integration for addresses and several other productivity enhancements. Good to a point 4 stars by gimpguy Sep 11, 2012 (Read all my 1159 reviews)
First of all, this is an excellent email client. It handles live and hotmail, gmail and even has an option to add twitter and facebook. Manage everything from one area. You will have to know the setup for hot or live mail of course. The setup for these types could have been better but therein lies the problem, it will NOT sync your junk folders or extra folders you create in hot or live mail. Gmail, yes. I found this to be a major issue in my case plus it keeps dropping the authentication to the hotmail or live accounts. I would lean toward MS mail servers as they give most handlers big issues but then again, some of the issues may be Zimbra's. I can get the extra folders and junk folder downloaded from other email clients so that's definitely Zimbra's issue. It's also a bit sluggish sometimes. All in all, I really did like this but simply due to the problems with folders and losing authentication to hotmail or live, I can't use it. Hopefully this gets fixed. show Review details
