Get back what you've lost 5 stars by michael Aug 01, 2007
I`ve had a serious problem when changing the size of some partitions. One of them - with all my personal data on it - couldn't be restored afterwards. GetDataBack for NTFS helped me a lot. It was the only program I've tested that was able to restore not only the content of all files, but the correct filenames as well. Within one hour it scanned the whole hard drive of 120 GB for all its structure, data and lost files. As result it showed me a 'tree' of all the lost data, like in the Windows Explorer. Everything has been there, nothing has been missing. I was prompted to mark all the data I wished to save and make the program copy it to a 'healthy' partition. Thanks to GetDataBack for NTFS I've got all my lost data back, with no single error! Unfortunately, you have to decide which version you want to buy: one version is for NTFS partitions, the other one for FAT partitions. show Review details
I recovered all data after a quick format ! 5 stars by filouk Mar 10, 2007
This program is incredibly efficient and stable. It allows you to recover data after the hard disk has been damaged or formated. All you have to do is let it guide you through the different steps of the recovery. It couldn't be simpler, even beginners can do it. I used it and I was able to recover absolutely everything. Make sure you have another hard disk drive so you can copy the recovered files. Congratulations to the programmers, it's a great job which will render great services to those who are in desperate situations with their supposedly lost data ! show Review details
Works where others won't 5 stars by AnonymMan Aug 25, 2006 (Read all my 15 reviews)
I tried about a half dozen programs, none of which could recover files from my 160 GB drive. Even though GetDataBack saw the drive as about 31.5 GB, it showed about 101 GB of data to recover. Make sure you look at all the info on the screens. It does look like some of the files may be corrupt, but the lowest price I was quoted for professional data recovery was $995. $79 is quite a bargain! show Review details
Trial is worthless 2 stars by mark_psalms3737 Apr 30, 2006 (Read all my 2 reviews)
It is stated clearly in the review of many programs that you must purchase it but this one does not. It will not recover any files unless you pay the 70 bucks. It showed that it was able to recover some files although many of them were unrecognizable. show Review details
Saved my tail 4 stars by Clarkie Aug 11, 2005
Lost my son's HD in XP and OS saw a 160 Gig NTFS as an unreadable 30 Gig FAT32 drive. Was skeptical but spent the $$ on GetDataBack and it did the trick. Useless without dropping $70 but once you do, it will be worth it. Do allow many hours for recovery and read doc carefully. Cannot recover to the corrupt disk so have plenty of free space available. show Review details
