I tried about a half dozen programs, none of which could recover files from my 160 GB drive. Even though GetDataBack saw the drive as about 31.5 GB, it showed about 101 GB of data to recover. Make sure you look at all the info on the screens. It does look like some of the files may be corrupt, but the lowest price I was quoted for professional data recovery was $995. $79 is quite a bargain! Price: Free Trial ($79.00)

As expected, this software is only for NT family (NT, 2000, XP, etc). It will not run under Win 98 as it displays error "ActiveX/Cannot create object". Maybe it needs WMI/WindowsScript 5.6 installed? On the NT platform it runs excellent! Price: Free Trial ($20.00)
