Fast and simple although lacking features by gentry

The program is simple to use and fast. However the options for dealing with duplicates are limited. For example there is no option to exclude subfolders (I had a folder that was a backup of an SD card that contained some of the same files in my download folder; I would like to keep the backup of the SD intact despite the fact that it contains duplicates. Options for marking and unmarking files for deletion are tedious and impractical if you have thousands of files. I could go on about other missing features but to be fair, it does what it does very well. Overall, an excellent choice if your requirements are simple.

The interface could use improvements to be able to select first or last duplicate for selected files. Otherwise the interface is very simple but still functional and elegant. It has lots of detail like asking if you are really sure when selecting all of the duplicates for some files. Best of all, no installer it's just a single binary!

Super useful software by alexpoliakoff

DoubleKiller is a wonderfully useful piece of software that every person should have and people as disorganized as me will think is a godsend! DoubleKiller should be in everyone's System Tools alongside Disk Cleanup and Disk Defragmenter. It did an excellent job in weeding through thousands of duplicate saved photo files that Id accumulated over several years. Works with large disks (300 GBytes) too. A big `Thank You` to the author!

Quick to download; neat, clean, fairly intuitive interface; customizable but default settings were good enough for me - though was brave enough to select folders to scan without putting my tin hat on ...
Used once, cautiously, and retrieved nearly a gigabyte of wasted space. No glitches.
