We have been using UltraVNC at work (non-profit hospital with 600+ installs) for several years. This release, 1.3.4, is one of the most stable releases yet. This gives IT the ability to remote into any of the company PCs on the local LAN and take control. Work is done in 60 seconds that would take 20 minutes to put on PPE, walk to the station, do the work, return to the IT office and remove PPE. show Review details

UltraVNC is an amazing project. It is a wonderful alternative and kept up-to-date. It is windows only but allows you to connect to LinuxMAC vnc clients which is awesome. If you have a home or small business network it is an easy way to manage the machines remotely. It is easy to install and configure. To connect all you need is the machine name or IP address of the machines running the uvnc server and you are connected. It is offered in 32 and 64-bit versions and for people who have XP they have an old version just for that OS. Thanks to the developers for all their work!! Cheers! show Review details

I love this program... it's easy of use and setup - less than 3 minutes to set this up from one computer to another (This is setup on a LAN). I am now able to from my workstation in my home office able to: Put what ever music, video, movie, photos... on my HDTV which is in the living room. Now when my grand children come over and they are watching Dora, or Thomas, I can click the next button in Netflix from my workstation and not have to go to the TV to click the Next button each time. It's as if I am sitting at the computer that is connected to the Home TheaterTV. I've been looking for away to do this, but most of the other Remote connections close the screen on the other computer, lock me out so I have to log back in.
