Everyone has uses sketches, paper cut outs to expensive 3D modeling but with 3DHome you can do it faster, easier, and cheaper. They have taken almost all that difficulty and turned it into a really usable program that anyone can use.
A little bit of measuring, adding the right elements, and you can print the dimensions, layout, and 3D picture of what you are looking to accomplish. It is a wonderful tool to help in home remodeling and seeing how it will look before you invest your money.

Within 10 minutes, I had a bathroom created, that's with learning how to use it as well so no, it's not tough to use but extremely versatile.
It's very easy to create walls, add furniture, texture, color, great 3-D view, render a picture from it, take a virtual tour, awesome.
What I really like is the fact that I do Blender 3-d modeling, work with Photoshop and Gimp and many other graphics softwares, this is so much easier to use as far as building a floor plan goes and with the combination of the above mentioned, I can create textures or objects to match near EXACT what I need and add them in.
The REAL KICKER... we are gutting out a home right now that we bought and this is EXACTLY what we need for our planning, it could not have been more perfect timing to find this.
I wish I could rate this a 10, well, I do, ten stars, 5 real-5 virtual, there.
