Better than desktops

As the title says, it's better than Desktops. The options are a bit more, holding down the mouse for a short time and dragging applications into the next window is good. It didn't take very long to find out how to edit the windows in the Windowspager config file, fairly simple really. I do want to note, you need to exit and restart it for the changes to take effect. It is very basic for the most part yet has decent capabilities and if this is all someone needs, it's perfect. I suggest using this over others if you don't want a full blown virtual desktop environment.

Very nice, works perfect

I've tried several other virtual desktop programs but they messed up my desktop icons and changed the wallpaper and eventually were deleted, but WindowsPager is so simple, looks nice in the tray and best of all, it works without making changes to the desktop. It works perfect on my XP desktop and my EEEPC Win 7 laptop. The number of virtual desktops is easily configured and has a good help page. My thanks to Jochen Baier for giving us this great free program!

I've tried so many "multi desktop" applications, including the one that comes with ATI cards; none every stayed part of my system. Frankly most were just more then one really needs for a production comp. This one is simple, complete, and truly usable without a single hassle. Easy "drop and drag" right from the taskbar was key to my satisfaction. Thanks for your time to make this program available to the public. . . a worthy achievement.
