Love multi-boot 5 stars by busybusy Oct 26, 2020 (Read all my 262 reviews)
I have YUMI through a lot of its iterations. They keep updating and adding compatibility for different version of Linux and other ISO's. With bigger USB's now days it is easy to put multiple versions of Linux or ISO's on one thumb drive. This is just a wonderful evolution the software. I use this for both installation and Tools ISO's all in one. It just makes sense. show Review details
Nice and automatic 4 stars by gimpguy Jul 03, 2012 (Read all my 1159 reviews)
Yumi is very easy to use. You choose your drive, select it from the list, "caution on selecting all drives" you may not want to format certain drives. You can install .iso images "which may look like zip files but have .iso" for those who don't know. Yumi gives you a nice boot menu to choose from which sets it aside from other methods. As stated, some won't boot from fat, this is an issue I ran into with some programs as I format in fat32 for others to work. So you won't find every program boots or works, be it the .iso image or Yumi, or inconsistencies with the format as stated prior. Some I've simply reinstalled and they worked. All tried on 16 gig PNY. There are ways to partition a flash drive, I've done so but haven't tried to format in two different formats yet and will do so which may solve the format issue with different .iso types. Basically, it does what it says and have installed Ubuntu and Windows 7 on it, along with many rescue and anti virus tools. There is room for improvement as it doesn't seem to be updated to handle many of the X64 versions of software. Operating systems, no problem, X64 handles fine for .iso. If Yumi can get updated to handle other free versions of the listed software, the X64 versions, newer free versions, etc... then this would be darn near perfect. show Review details
Works ok, pen drives may need reformatting 4 stars by ianmacm Mar 12, 2012 (Read all my 174 reviews)
This program works OK, although there is an important fact missing from the documentation. Some ISO images may boot only from FAT, not FAT32. Also, I found from trial and error that not all ISOs work with all USB devices. Most modern computers support booting from USB, but it may be necessary to adjust the BIOS if it is not enabled. show Review details
