Ok but bad logging info 2 stars
The program is fine, but has a major flaw. After you are done backing up it produces a log. Non critical errors are listed in a section. But critical errors are not listed in a separate section but noted in the regular log. Since back up may be thousands of files you have to go through pages and pages of the log to see what did not transfer. It also lists puzzling errors like file name may be too long. Fair enough but if this is so, how come I can click and drag it to the same place OR copy and paste file with no issues? Also it should guide you through small issues. Like (slanted apostrophe)won't transfer but the ' will. Price: Free

The software developer responded to this review on Dec 10, 2012: We ve recently released V6 which resolves your issues: errors are listed in their own section, there are no filename length limits, and many other new features. Enjoy!

IE PassView IE PassView

Works great for finding forgotten passwords 5 stars
It's a standalone program and works great for finding forgotten passwords. This will show up as a virus in Microsoft Security Essentials as a threat to security. Which it is. So don't worry if it sets off your virus detector. Price: Free

Mail Password Recovery Mail Password Recovery

Worked perfect 5 stars
The GUI (graphical user interface) is barebones but it does what it says it will do. You just open program, it runs alone, no need to install. You change your pop server to an address in the program and then send yourself an email. The program records the account and the pop3 password. Couldn't be easier. Recommend Price: Free

Google Chrome Google Chrome

It's ok 2 stars
You cannot install it anywhere but on your "C-Drive" where Chrome chooses. This is a huge issue on small drives and is just an attempt by Google to get around system admins who block what workers can put on their computer. This way more people can use Google's Chrome. Don't waste your time, till Google fixes this and gives YOU the ability to install it anywhere you want Price: Free

EaseUS Partition Master EaseUS Partition Master

Great product 5 stars
This is one of the best pieces of freeware you can get. I have used it to expand, to shrink, to rename, to convert logical drives to primary drives, never with a hitch. But like any partition manager remember BACK UP FILES FIRST Price: Free

Revo Uninstaller Revo Uninstaller

Great program 5 stars
This rocks, I can't recommend it enough. The only thing is if you don't want it to make a restore point each time, (let's say you're uninstalling more than one program, one after the other) make sure you uncheck that option. Nothing bad about this, get it Price: Free

uTorrent uTorrent

Great for downloading horrible on uploading 3 stars
I found a huge bug in uTorrent. You can create a torrent using uTorrent and it does't always seed correctly. Once you upload a certain amount, if you hit stop - force -> recheck, uTorrent no longer recognizes your hash on the file YOU create. This leaves everyone of the people trying to download the file from you with an incomplete file, and you can't fix it. The uTorrent people have told me it's the fault of Windows Media Player tagging mp3 or WMA or whatever files you use. This is a MAJOR flaw, that you now have corrupt files you're transfering all over the place. While it works well if you just download, make sure you constantly do a force -> recheck for any torrents you start. This explains a lot of why people have torrents that for no reason suddenly get stuck Price: Free

VirtualDub VirtualDub

Very good product 5 stars
This product is excellent, I would highly recommend it. The only bad thing is there are virtually no instructions on how to use it. For instance, after you download and unzip it, it doesn't install like most programs. I had to click 3 exe files to find the right one. (VirtualDub.exe is the correct one). You will not find this installed on the computer, which can be good or bad depending on your needs. But you could put the program on a usb drive and take it with you The product rocks, it is great and does a wonderful job, but you're gonna have to sit down and play with it. Once you figure out how to use it and what each part does, it is great. Also does not include codecs (and it says so) but you can download those for free from Snapfiles. If the author would put even minimal directions in place it'd be so much better. Note: the author does explain what each tab does in the help file. So after you click VirtualDub.exe hit help menu and begin reading. Price: Free

Clickster Clickster

Good for it's use 4 stars
I like this, it is simple to use. I would recommend it. It does need a bit of tweaks. Like you may want to hit the button twice because you hit it once and it appears not to have done anything, but it has. It also doesn't seem to tell you when it's done searching. So if you're searching for say "Madonna" I waited 20 minutes and it seemed to be done. Then I came back at 40 mintues nothing. Then at 60 minutes, it found a whole bunch more songs. So it could use something saying it's still looking. But those are just cosmetic tweaks Price: Free

Restoration Restoration

This little thing is great 5 stars
I can't tell you how many times it saved my butt, it got files off of my hard drive, and my flash drive and even my camera. It's scary as I had a ten year old computer and I got files off the computer from 1998 intact. Shows how much isn't deleted. It is so small it runs on a floppy Great!! Try this first. Price: Free
