record online videos and desktop activity Any Video Recorder enables you to capture any video or movie that is playing on your desktop or in your browser and save it as .MP4 file to your computer. Unlike video downloaders, which don't work with all sites, Any Video Recorder does not download the video stream but records it directly from your desktop. Simply drag the resizable capture area over the region that you want to record and click the "Record" button to start recording. While this approach will work with most sites (including Netflix, Hulu etc.), you need to be careful not to disturb the region that is being recorded. There are a few recorders out there that will do what this does, and better without the sound lag or even video munch you can get from this app. After using 5 screen recorders, this was the laggiest of all, skipping in higher quality video, not real good. I have the AMD Radeon HD 6900 g-card which is flawless in any other scenario, plus quad core phenom, ddr3, I have no lag issues with anything.
