open all links in your default browser EdgeDeflector enables you to open links that force-opened in Microsoft Edge in your default browser. Throughout Windows 10, some web links (e.g. Cortana) are always opened in Microsoft Edge, even if you have set some other browser as your default. Instead of launching the set default browser, Microsoft is using a special protocol (URL:microsoft-edge) to make sure that certain links are always opened in Edge. EdgeDeflector takes over as the default handler for the URL:microsoft-edge protocol and redirects all request to your actual default browser. Once you have installed EdgeDeflector, there is nothing else to do, it just works. Important: You will be prompted with a "How do you want to open this?" dialog during the installation - make sure that you select "EdgeDeflector" and click OK - this will allow the program to register as the default handler (see screenshot).
