First off, I would not use this over others even if it was free. The interface is inviting enough, looks like it would be an awesome icon editor etc... but beneath it all, it's very clunky, bug ridden software.
1. A finished icon's edges are very hard to smooth out when smaller sized using this program. Not that good even at a larger size, tried the softening of edges, did nothing.
2. Very buggy, especially when using filters, the delay was horrid. If I clicked on emboss or anything, it took forever to finally accomplish this task or ANY others which is odd considering I run intense graphic software or games without an issue. It would also get stuck on the slider, if I moved a slider over one, no matter what I clicked on in a window, even color palette, it would move the slider.
3. It would not always close. If I chose "NEW" and chose to discard changes, it would simply hang, doing nothing.
4. Would not allow me to set or save a compiled multi-sized icon. Typically for software or even scaling purposes on the desktop, a person would create, just for example, 24-256, meaning there would be the sizes... 32, 48,64,78 sizes in between up to 256. I tried every method in this software and nothing worked unless you create each one individually or save it, then open it as different one, repeat. Only would show with imported already made icons. Most free or paid will create sizes by click of a button for you.
Could be a lot better.

Thank you for your comment on IconCool Editor with so many words. IconCool Editor was developed on an old developing system. We have developed a brand new product - IconCool Studio for the substitute.
I have been using IconCool Editor for a while because it provides a lot of good features.
But it crashes randomly far too often, and I sometimes need to restart it 10 times to get an icon done, it is very frustrating especially when you have not saved your work when the crash occurs.
And it seems that crashes are never fixed as any new version seems to crash as often.
