Scan documents to PDF and other file types NAPS2 (Not Another PDF Scanner 2) enables you to quickly and easily scan your paper documents and save them to PDF, TIFF, JPEG, PNG, and other file formats. The program has been designed to be extremely simple to use. After you configure the scanner you want to use, the interface displays thumbnails of all the documents you have scanned and provides buttons to save them to PDF or image format. There are also options to rotate, flip and arrange your scanned files. I updated to W10 and discovered that my Canoscan 8600F would no longer work. This was because Microsoft, in all its wisdom, decided that it didn't want me using Twain modules anymore and that I should buy another scanner. This program bypassed MS's nonsense and allowed me to use my scanner again. Unfortunately, NAPS2 shuts down the twain module after I only do one scan. I have file folders of documents that I need to batch scan and that limitation prevents me from doing so. Because of this limitation, I can only recommend this program as a last resort. If you want to do batch scanning, download Irfanview which does allow batch scanning. It even autosaves the scans. show Review details

Just what is the point of having this software? My scanner does every bit of that without me having to install another program, and I'm sure most modern scanners do too. show Review details

This well thought out program is slick and intuitive. What's really nice are the profiles that can be setup based on ADF or flat-bed scanning and withwithout color. Lots of features for saving, emailing, printing. I found it very useful and donated to the author. Excellent program. show Review details
