advanced text editor Programmers File Editor (PFE) is a large-capacity, multi-file editor. Although it's primarily designed for program developers and contains features like the ability to run compilers and development applications, it also makes a very good general purpose editor, that works well with extremely large files. Something that really does open extremely large files and survives! Ever open (for fun) a large jpeg image with notepad? Or simply outrageous large text files to have other text editors FREEZE up? This won't do that. It not only handles large files but does so quickly. Ok, it's mostly based on DOS if you see the options, however, it does have keyboard recording, and other useful things. People do fiddle with DOS and this will execute DOS commands and record the output, cool... Just for the fact this handles large text files was a plus for me and I hope they update this or create a text handler out of this that's similar but updated...now.. time to have some fun.
