EPUB ebook editor Sigil is a full-featured ebook editor for EPUB files that you can use to create your own ebooks from scratch and export them to EPUB format. It offers WYSIWYG editing, similar to a word processor, as well as direct code editing for advanced users. The program offers a full set of tools that allow you to insert headings, specify fonts, add numbered or bulleted lists, iamges, video, Internet links and more, without the need to write any HTML code. When you are finished with your book, Sigil can automatically generate a Table Of Contents for you. The TOC is based on the headings used throughout your book and support multi-level headings. Sigil is superb for epub files

Sigil is a key part of my process of converting pdf documents to epub... I first rip the PDF to text, stick html headers on the file, then import the html file into Sigil... it provides incredible control over file formatting, and allows easy editing of document formats. The official documentation is rather rudimentary, to say the least... I have had much better success by following the MobileRead Sigil forums.

You really can't ask for more in this program, at least, I can't. It does everything I need it to do. It's not at all complicated to work with, the hardest part would be understanding terms and functionality if you aren't familiar with ebook methods. I can't think of anything negative to say about it. It's fun to use, numerous options, free, the layout makes sense, excellent!
