file encryption tool S.S.E. File Encryptor is an encryption tool that enables you to encrypt and password protect any file or document. Simply drag the file onto the application and set a password to create an encrypted copy of the file with an added ".enc" extension. You can choose from several encryption algorithms, including Blowfish 448bit, AES 256bit, RC6 256bit, Serpent 256bit, Twofish 256bit and GOST 256bit. You can use a different password each time you encrypt a file, however you should be aware that the program does not save or store your password, so you will need to remember it, along with the algorithm used. To decrypt one of your previously encrypted ".enc" files, simply drag it onto the GUI, enter the password and select the encryption algorithm. Copyright Snapfiles.com

A good, solid, but simple app with strong crypto. But its greatest value to me is that it is available for Android as the "SSE - Universal Encryption App" on Google Play Store. Best of all, the encrypted files are interchangeable! On my Windows desktop, I can create an encrypted file, copy it over to my Android tab, and decrypt it there. Likewise, a file encrypted on my tablet can be decrypted on my PC. Thanks to the devs at Paranoia Works, I no longer have to be paranoid about my private information. show Review details
