The Windows Vault stores logins from Internet Explorer, Edge and Windows Mail (Windows 8 and later), if you choose to let Windows remember the password. If you forgot a password but have it stored in the Windows Vault, you can use this tool to recover the login information. Note that you will need to enter your Windows password in order to decrypt the vault information, unless you are running as Administrator.
