A Photoshop alternative 4 stars by realbull2009250 Mar 15, 2013 (Read all my 60 reviews)
It is a simple to use application for beginners to advance users. It produces good work if you know how to use it. It handles layers very well and easy to organize them. It accepts many popular file formats including PSD. Also it can use 8bf filters to enhance its power. It is a great GIF and APNG editor, too! The negative thing about it is that sometimes it is a bit buggy and maybe slow to process large images. Some PSD files may not render well. show Review details
For free it's great 5 stars by gimpguy Aug 12, 2012 (Read all my 1159 reviews)
While not on the level of the higher end Graphics Programs like Photoshop or Gimp, this may be the great in between that many are looking for. It's not too high level yet could easily accomplish creating whatever you put your mind to. There are tutorials for all to see in order to use this which is really nice. There are numerous options for painting, fill, effects, selection shapes and more than I can list. My only issue is that it seems to hog a bit of resources compared to some, a bit laggy if you will. Other than that, I don't see how I could give this anything less than a 5 star. Full featured free software. show Review details
Good program on XP 5 stars by Sam_the_Man Nov 09, 2009 (Read all my 54 reviews)
I like this program, as the interface is a little easier to understand than some high-end graphic programs. I had originally installed this on my Vista machine, only to encounter some limitations on some of the tools (i.e. "configure layer effect" didn't work). On XP, I haven't found any problems as of yet. Several video tutorials are included to get you started. Good program on XP. show Review details
