Nice trick for my system!

I always use an aggressive power scheme for all my systems but I still use the screen saver and set the monitor off at a specific interval... but there are times when I don't want the screen saver to run or the monitor to be turned off, and I don't want to change the power scheme or go trough the problem of changing or disabling the screen saver. Some times the system going standby is just a headache. There are other times when I don't want anyone to log me off. This little tool does the trick fast and with just a minimal intervention or configuration. Also, it can be easily activated and deactivated without loading and unloading it every time, and yes, it runs from any USB drive. It is fast, convenient and just take a small amount of RAM and a negligible CPU time. I love when some little app teaches my system new tricks...

Works great

My company has removed the screen saver option and forces it to come on after 7 minutes. Well that will just not do. This little bitty software does the trick. Just start it up and you have a list of options to chose from. I just use the basic function and it works just fine. No more screen saver to worry about. This little package works off a portable USB drive and is great. So if your company has forced your hand, time to get a little help!

Excellent little program

This author writes highly functional little programs. I use aggressive power management to stretch my laptop battery's life, and Don't Sleep is great for keeping everything active when I'm viewing a webcast, for example. It has several other capabilities in a tiny package. Highly recommended. DesktopOK is another gem from the same site.

Been using 'nosleep' for years until I discovered this beauty. Does exactly what it says - suspends your screensaver for a predetermined amount of time and then re-enables it and exits. Works great, it's portable and it's FREE !
