I would just like to comment on the viewer and user of this program that has written in the review this, and quote: First, when using the stamp, it wont allow you to re-size it or move it, you can only transform its shape. It has to be stamped where you want it exactly or redo it.
I have no problem in using the stamp and moving it to where I like to have it placed. I place the stamp on the new layer and it works for me, usually I re-sized it first and then I click on the Move tool.
It is great little program that opens up quickly when I need it. I use PhotoShop and Paint Shop Pro, PhotoX2 for more advance stuff but to do quick jobs on a photo, for example with shapes it is so easy and lots to choose from. There are extra downloads of shapes, stamps, patterns, clip art etc. The help on their site was enough for me to be able to use it but perhaps for non advance users there could be some more help added to the help file.

I don't use Photoshop often but I do and have used Gimp for a long time and it does have a lot of plugins you would find in Gimp or Photoshop. This is not a bad thing. For many users this will be exactly what they are looking for but if you are at all advanced, you won't find much interest in it.
I felt the editing was rather slow and I do not have a slow machine by any standards and can run anything out there so not sure why the slowdowns when using it. Felt like I was back to 512 ram on an HP pavilion, currently running Phenom Black Deneb quad, 8 gigs ram GTX 460 card, W7x64. Perhaps an X64 issue?
Aside from that, PhoXo is actually really cool and has the ability to add smilies, etc.. the effects will be great for most users and the layer interface is very easy to understand. I would rate this a 5 but there are better paid and free that do the same (with exception of smilies that I know of) and more but at the same time, I do recommend it for those who are just looking for easy, creative, photo fun.
