Folder Lock Folder Lock

The interface is what strikes the most 5 stars
The interface is what strikes the most; extremely easy and logical. Especially designed for the novice. The feature that impressed me the most was the ability to create 4-GB 'portable' self-decrypting 'containers'. Highly recommended, although the price is on the higher end when compared to the freely available VeraCrypt. Price: Free Trial ($39.95)

Betternet Betternet

Unlimited free vpn! 5 stars
The most salient point is that no registration, logging in or credit card is required. Just install, and connect. It does not save any logs, IPs, ports, user information or timestamps. And for ensuring privacy, OpenVPN with AES256 encryption and 128 bit AES-CBC for IPSec is employed. The main drawback is that after it connects, it opens the page of Twitter. Price: Free

Photomatix Pro Photomatix Pro

The best hdr post-processing software 4 stars
Although it is pricey, but it is a great investment. Unlike other tone mapping software it has tonnes of options and the added advantage is that it is nifty as compared to other bloated software. My only desire is that the developers change the GUI to charcoal colour. Highly recommended for photographers. Price: Free Trial ($99.00)

EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard

Not that effective 3 stars
It's recovery was just at par with that of the freeware Recuva. I wasn't impressed as it managed to recover 89 files from my Bin, while another shareware found 138 files, and completely recovered them. Price: Free

MjM Photo Recovery MjM Photo Recovery

It saved the day 5 stars
My friend accidentally formated the MicroSD card while fooling around with his Nokia mobile. He brought forth his predicament to me, as he considers me tech savvy (which I can assure you that I am not). The first software that I used to recover the photos was my all-time favourite, Recuva, and to my utter disappointment it failed to find even a single file, even with its deep-scan option enabled. Then read the review by 'dpqbdp' and used this REMARKABLE freeware, and presto: 268 JPG images recovered, and out of which only 16 images were corrupt. And now my friend has promised me a pack of Cohibas. Price: Free

It beats the rest by miles. 5 stars
I have been using it since version 3.1 appeared on the scene. And ever since then, it's my default compression tool. At times it (version 3.81 build 1550) does fail to open password-protected RAR files. I hope this minor glitch is fixed in the next build. It's a must-have, so don't wait, download it now! I gave it a test, and it fulfilled all of my needs without any hassles. Over all it's a great media-player.
