Replaces a kvm switch? well, not really 1 stars by raptozilla Oct 02, 2015 (Read all my 26 reviews)
This software claims to be a software replacement for a KVM switch, but that's not really the case. The K in KVM stands for KEYBOARD, the V stands for VIDEO,, and the M stands for MOUSE. Mouse Without Borders allows for the use of one keyboard and one mouse to be used with more than one computer, but it does not allow for one monitor to be used with more than one computer. Each computer that is controlled with this software must have it's own monitor, and the person controlling it must be able to see the monitor of the controlled computer or the software is useless. This software performs the K & M functions of a KVM switch, but it does not control the V function; for that to be true, they need to figure out how to switch a single monitor to the desktop of computers that are controlled by the software. I would not recommend it to replace a KVM switch if that's your intention for using this software because you're still going to need monitors for the computers you want to control. show Review details
Just downloaded... 5 stars by CPMacDonald Jun 26, 2012 (Read all my 7 reviews)
I've been working with many computers for years, this is the first time I've come across a tool such as this. I've used remote programs quite a lot, but this is one of the nicest Free tools at this caliber that's as impressive as this, that I've seen in a long time. I have 3 other computers that I use quite often and it's always a hassle switching from one mouse to the other and then not forgetting to switch back. It's installed and will be getting Many Hours of use in the nearlong future! Two Thumbs Up! show Review details
Works great! No problem beteen Win7 and XP 5 stars by Robin_G Jun 22, 2012 (Read all my 2 reviews)
I am using this between a Win7-Pro laptop and a WinXP-Pro desktop and it works perfectly in both directions. Very useful tool! show Review details
Didn't work on XP 4 stars by brothergabriel Sep 17, 2011 (Read all my 18 reviews)
I tried this program, attempting to connect a Windows 7 computer to an XP SP3 computer. The Win7 could control the mouse perfectly on the XP computer, but the XP computer had issues controlling the mouse on the Win7 computer - the mouse was trapped in the taskbar area. The program installs very quickly, is easy to understand, and has great features. If you are using all Windows 7 computers, this is a wonderful app to add, especially if you are using multiple computers at your workstation or are in a computer lab where you can see your neighbors' desktop. show Review details

Gives Synergy a run for its money 4 stars by davolente Sep 13, 2011 (Read all my 3 reviews)
I have used Synergy for a very long time over my two machines (one with two monitors) but took a chance and installed MWB and, I have to say, it works better, with a more intuitive interface and the same seamless transition over all three screens. Synergy is a bit of a challenge to set up and doesn't support file drag-and-drop, which I always though Synergy should have. Definitely four and-a-bit stars for this. Looks like Synergy (along with Input Director) has got a battle on its hands against this new contender. show Review details
