Excellent at what it does, which is organising notes in a clear and attractive tabbed interface, which is easily searchable. It even includes a built-in spreadsheet. There are numerous options to help with tagging and sorting notes and a large collection of icons, plus AES password protection. OneNote it's not, but then it is not meant to be. It's more traditional notetaking software and there is room for both. It's a shame upgrade protection is only 12-months, not until the next major version, but that is quite common these days. I was happy with this software and bought a lifetime license. However, on the upgrade to version 7 my database was corrupted for a second time (it happened before when I went from 5 to 6). Contacted support who eventually asked me to send them my database file. Since then they have not got back to me despite reminders over 2 weeks and I now worry if they did not intend to assist me, what are they doing with the private info (Contacts etc.) from my database? Nice software, and all good until the next major version upgrades, but unless you dont rely on the info in your database, I would avoid. Price: Free Trial ($39.95)

I have no programming experience so its a little daunting at first, but surprisingly easy to get into and use, particularly as assistance is readily available on the forum. Makes a great text expander, something which as far as I can tell AutoIt cannot do (on their forums they seemingly regard a text expansion feature as tantamount to key logging yes, totally weird I know!). And the text can be expanded by means of keyboard shortcuts or by a great choice of GUI such as ListBoxes, DropDown lists etc. Plus there is even a pop-up calendar which works in Excel and is much easier to set up than Excels own pop-up Calendar equivalent. As a non-programmer I was initially put off as it appeared each script (e.g. each text expansion shortcut) had to be in its own file, resulting in numerous scripts having to be run and thereby being unmanageable. However I later discovered a script can contain numerous different macro commands so that is actually not a problem. Also opens websites, launches programs and much, much more. Highly recommended! Nag screen to renew after 1 year 1 stars
I bought this a year ago and thought it was reasonable UNTIL: once the software is over 1 year old you get a nag screen to renew (i.e. re-purchase) as the "subscription" has expired. What subscription? I BOUGHT IT!!! The options on the nag screen are "Renew Now" or "Remind Me Later", so though they say you can still use the software, to do so you have the nag screen every time you open it. SHAMEFUL! Just set up your replacements, copy then immediately paste back and the amendments are instantly inserted. Having read the excellent review on Snapfiles I downloaded and trialled this software. It works great and is a fresh and original take on personal finance software. In fact I was about to buy it, until I read about the registration procedures on their website. The registration code they give you expires after a period of time. So if like me you regularly change your IT kit, you have to hope they are still trading when yo want to reinstall, re-download the software and ask them for a new key. I understand they want to stop piracy, but I use a lot of shareware and this is way over the top! What a shame Price: Free Trial ($39.95)
