secure file storage and transfer BCArchive enables you to protect your confidential files by adding them to a secure, password protected container. To access the files, all you have to do is enter the archive password and open it to view or edit the files. You can also create a self-extracting version, that allows you to send secure archives by email, that can be opened with the proper password, but do not require BCArchive to be installed on the PC. The program supports strong symmetric encryption algorithms such as Blowfish, IDEA, Triple-DES, CAST5 as well as secure hash algorithms (SHA-1, MD5, RIPEMD-160) and asymmetric (public/secret key) algorithms. Additional features include Windows Explorer integration, send by email, public key manager and more. Copyright Snapfiles.com

Nice 4 stars by gimpguy Sep 11, 2012 (Read all my 1159 reviews)
Well, it encrypts and compresses folders and other data, allowing you to open it only by a password if you choose. Personally, I find some on demand file and folder encrypters to be much easier. This has some decent options but nothing I would use for home. show Review details

Crashed on 2 different computers 1 stars by megabob6666 Jul 03, 2005 (Read all my 19 reviews)
I've been using this software from v. 1.02 or 1.03 and never had a problem. I initially installed 1.06 on a computer as an upgrade to 1.05. The first time I tried to start it, I got a "this program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down" message, and I got one everytime I tried to run it. I then installed it on a computer that had never had any previous versions thinking that made might be an upgrade problem. It wasn't; the program crashed on that one too. I'm thinking that maybe they didn't test this version on Win 98 before releasing it. show Review details
