Video Surveillance software ContaCam is a video surveillance software that can turn your webcam into a motion detection camera with automatic logging and custom alert options. The program can monitor the area within camera view and automatically start recording whenever it detects any motion. The recordings can be saved as AVI or Flash video and optionally uploaded to a FTP server or sent by email. You can also choose to capture still images at regular intervals and create a thumbnail history log you can access remotely via the integrated web server. In addition to video surveillance, Contacam can also be used as DVR for 24 hour recording, scheduled recording or manual on-demand recording. The program supports many advanced configuration options, including customizable (or external) detection zones, snapshot editing, customizable video settings, detection scheduling, network streaming, audio recording, and more. Great program easy to use.

Great program, not difficult to use. I have a dedicated PC running this software for my 2 cameras. I had no crashes, the up time for this program has been about 2 years straight. The only time I've had to reboot the PC was due to Windows updates.

Installed this on my computer (twice)to attempt to connect to IP cameras installed on my network. Tried 100 different ways get them to work...very frustrating....and the help file doesn't.

Frozen camera?

I have had ContaCam for about 3 weeks and have noticed a few things. 1-The option to review is odd. That is to say I am not able to review the footage because the camera seems to be frozen. I mean that I have a clock in the target area and the time NEVER changes. 2-I have found that when I search for the folder containing the footage or pictures, I find them under .avi but I also find these other files which are designated as: Dc100, Dc101, Dc 102 etc. I CANNOT delete those files when I clear out the folder. Any ideas?
