It offers a simple overwrite (fast) as well as to DoD 5220.22M (slower) and Gutmann (very slow) compatible deletion methods. The program is very easy to use, it adds a new waste bin icon to your desktop, and any file or folder that you drag onto the bin is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. I can't really give this program a full 10 because while it removes the target file from access by most software, it still leaves traces in the FAT and the MFT. I have other programs that shred the target file, and clears the entry in the FAT, but I have yet to find anything that 'does it all', whether freeware or shareware. Keep up the good work, though show Review details

I was looking for a secure way to remove files from a mapped drive. Freeraser does it easily, just drag any file onto the icon and all trace of the file vanishes. show Review details
