Integrated spell check for IE Speckie is a real-time spell checker for Internet Explorer that will automatically check your spelling as you type into online forms, post forum messages or write emails in your webmail account. It supports multiple dictionaries in different languages as well as custom dictionary entries. Whenever Speckie detects a misspelled word, it highlights it and you can choose the correct spelling from the right-click menu. Where have you been, all my life?

Even for a non-believer like me, this is a God-send. I've been continually copy 'n pasting text from on-line comment fields, into an external text editor, just to spell-check the things before hitting 'submit'. But no more. In fact, I actually forgot I'd already installed it, before realizing - the next day - that it was up and running. And what a relief. You run the install, and there's really nothing to see; it just integrates seamlessly into IE, and goes to work. I guess you could say I'm enjoying the benefits of Speckie, even as we speak.
