The conversion UI could be further improved to a single drag-n-drop tab instead of having separate tabs for individual and folder conversions. Batch conversion could also use the "Constrain Proportions" option, in case users want an exact resize for multiple images. Apart from that, a fast and light tool which gets the job done no doubt. Nice work John, will surely keep an eye on further developments! show Review details

Just downloaded this program to try it on a folder filled with captures from a DVD, which were saved in BMP format. Set output to JPG, set output size to the same as the originals, and let it go. Left the room to get something and when I came back, they were all done, nice and easy. show Review details

I too wondered why the rating was THAT low. I did read the cons and I don't feel the compression or other formats is too big an issue. It clearly states what it can convert images to and for typical users who simply want jpeg or whatever, this works. Yes, ok, the jpg compression would help but isn't life or death. For all intents and purposes, it's a nice fast way to change image formats. I'll use Gimp for most things but if I need a quick format change, hey, this will do just fine. show Review details

Why this has a low rating is beyond me. It is an excellent program. Does batch conversion as well which is perfect for converting .bmp to .gif for importing into an animated gif creation program. Works well on my Vista OS, hopefully its rating will go up so that everyone can see how good it is. show Review details
