I really like this search tool and it just keeps getting better. It has a lot of search functions from Duplicate files, text search, files search, with a nice sub-option set to include or exclude from your search criteria. The search speed has improved as the program has developed. I know there are a lot of search utils out there but don't pass up on this useful tool. show Review details

Just to keep up to date on this... The software developer responded to this review on Aug 13, 2012: " Hi, thanks again for your additional review comments and glad to know that LookDisk performed better with the changed options. The latest version (5.5) now has the checkuncheck all functionality included." First of all, this is my 3rd review on this software and the developer has been, not only kind enough to acknowledge the reviews but to work with, listen to and to actually implement options into the software (within reason I'm sure) that users request. For that I say thank you. With the option to check and uncheck all (drives or partitions)implemented into this great search utility, it's the best I've used. For whatever reason, the install version on my pc is faster than the portable, way faster, as a matter of fact, I have gotten rid of my long time favorite, Agent Ransack and replaced it with LookDisk now. That being said, again, thanks to the developer for listening, says a lot about a software as well. Definitely a 5 star. show Review details

Frankly I found it a bit slow. It took about five minutes to find all 23 CPL files. Windows' Find performed better. show Review details

You can find the files easily with this software. However, one thing I dont like is when you look for size, author of this software put bytes instead of mb or gig. I would rather to see mb as choice. Normally, people search for big files.. hmmm how many bytes are 10 mb? how many 0s???? show Review details

The only reason I D/L this program was for the ability to find files buried in my Zip,cab files as Win Zip does not have any search capabilities.My only (regret)with this program is that I didn,t find it SOON enough.What a joy it is to find exactly what file you are looking for now buried in 50--60 cab files and not knowing what is in each one.My hats off in appreciation to the author(s) for this GREAT program.
