It's automagical!

Fantastic, does just what I was looking for. I've grown tired of having to open notepad to paste into to remove formatting. Something like this should be built in to Windows!

Simple, time-saving, effective and unobtrusive

I've been using this on one PC for several weeks and have just put a copy onto my other PC. I use MS Word, Excel and Outlook and do a lot of copy and paste. I used to waste so much time trying to remove unwanted formatting. Now I have PureText run at start-up so whenever I want to paste plain text I use Win-V instead of Ctrl-V - so simple! (and I love the 'chink' sound it makes when you use it).

I've been using this tiny little utility for years now and take it for granted. When working on other people's computers I often wonder why ctrl+q doesn't paste plain text! Why waste time in Excel doing Edit > Paste Special > Values, when you can just press a couple of keys.

Real little gem!

In my view this tiny application (only 12 KB!) is really invaluable for those who intensively works with various texts. Being a translator I need many times a day to copy text in one program and paste it into another and it's very annoying to change the formatting each time after pasting. PureText allows to elegantly solve this problem: I copy some text, click CTRL+B hot-key (it's a hot-key of my choice) and the text is pasted without any formatting or it acquires the formatting of the target text. And did I say that PureText is free and doesn't require installation?

Outstanding and effective program!

Have used PureText for about two years now and don't think I've had a program that works as well. Removes all the annoying formatting from anything that you copy to clipboard and before you paste from emails, web pages, etc. A must have program!
