Perhaps too thorough a clean 3 stars by sgodlovitch496 Mar 05, 2014 (Read all my 2 reviews)
I agree with the commentator who took this application to be perhaps too indiscriminate in its tidy-up. Thankfully I set a restore point. It quite thoroughly scrubbed my router details and somehow disabled the option in Control Panel to connect to a LAN. At least, there's something I must have missed in anticipating such complete scrubbing. It would be unfair to condemn it entirely, but I've still to benefit from whatever improvements it's meant to accomplish. show Review details
All-in-one repair tool 5 stars by busybusy Aug 17, 2012 (Read all my 262 reviews)
I appreciate that they created a AIO package. Normally these windows repairs are separate and have to be download individually. It covers the basic common malware type attacks vector fixes. It is easy to use and a step through interface design. I do hope the grow their fix-it list to keep up with all the new attacks that mess up users systems. Kudos!! Thanks for a great and free repair tool! ;) show Review details

My Windows XP Professional broke. At first, I couldn't even boot into Windows. My file system was corrupted, etc. I tried fixboot, fixmbr, bootcfg rebuild. I tried Bart PE pre-installed environment. Repair Install didn't work ChkDsk didn't work. SFC/scannow didn't work. Microsoft Fix It spit out an error message and couldn't run. I went round and round and round trying every trick in the book I know of. I finally managed to get Windows up and limping. I still couldn't download Windows Updates. I couldn't uninstall or install MSI files. There were other strange little problems. Nothing, individually or collectively got my system back up to snuff. Windows Repair did the job. 100 Stars! show Review details
A bit hard to tell precisely what it does 2 stars by EmpressTrudy Oct 18, 2011 (Read all my 16 reviews)
It's more or less a 'clean the counter' approach. That is, it purports to fix a slew of things and executes its repairs on them whether they're actually broken or not. Moreover what it DID do was a little bit scary. For example it reverted the XP Desktop to Windows 2000 style desktop. It eliminated the hide icons from the taskbar - not the icons just their hidden aspect (I think this is functioning as intended). It wiped out Adobe Reader 10 and Flash (as in they were de-installed). It messed up my VPN dialer. I was able to recover the VPN dialer by (and this is weird) repeatedly cold booting the machine 3x. So I'm back to where I started. I'm not sure what if anything was repaired or how the machine is less broken now. show Review details
Short cuts for repair 4 stars by gimpguy Oct 11, 2011 (Read all my 1159 reviews)
It's not the most in depth tool out there and of the first set of options in the tabs, like restore point, file scan, etc... are very basic tools but the repair section does have a bit more to offer and could be a time saver to repair some things that are otherwise time consuming and all in one spot and choice to check all repairs or which ones you want to do, that's nice. Either way, it's decent and with updating and adding to, this will be an awesome software as it grows. It's nice now but yes, a lot of room for growth. show Review details
