I did a review a number of years ago on this but happened that they recently updated it, I needed to upgrade and test it to see what's improved. I'm testing it on a network share, you have to allow the drive share to be access through the software even though you might have it through your OS alread. This is nothing big and actually like that aspect. Onto the scanning, my Brave browser backup is taking 21GB and it scanned it in only 423.78 sec or 7 min. which for this NAS device is not bad at all. The display is similar to the previous version I used but enhanced at the same time. The interface is intuitive and clean looking. If you Righ-Click you can perform any function you configured in your OS. BTW, I found wasted space in a few cache folder thanks to WizTree. show Review details

I'm using it on Windows 10 Pro, 64-bit. It works superbly, on all of my drives. Speed is absolutely unparalleled !! The program is updated regularly, and they've added some cool new features, such as showing folder sizes in the map display. show Review details

I used to love this program, but I've found that it does not properly report on my external HD, skipping some (normal) directories and reporting some folders with ridiculously large sizes. It shows the correct totals at the top, but the detailed listing is badly incomplete. It also has problems with other removable drives. I've emailed tech support, and their responses were friendly and logical, but their suggestions didn't help. When I tried to dump the MFT to send them, I got an enormous file of garbage. As a result, I'm now using TreeSize, which does not have any problems. I'm running Windows 7 Pro x64 and my drives are all NTFS. show Review details

Maybe a previous version was missing a "graphical space analyzer" display, but this one has it. AND when you click into one of its space boxes the list view populates with the files. Nothing more to add to the excellent reviews here. show Review details

WizTree definitely has a lead in the file size view department. It's extremely easy to use and the layout is equally easy to get around. Fast? No doubt. Half a Tera in a couple seconds. Has some other basic options as well. show Review details

WizTree is a very handy application with an easy, pleasing interface. If you're running low on disk space, want to do some disk cleaning, or want to find those monster files, this is perfect. Shows you which directories and files are the big "disk hogs" and does it with stunning speed. It shows directories, all sorted by size, showing percentage of drive used, sizes, date modified and attributes. From there you can drill down into directory details to show files and all their details. As it says in the description, this only works with drives formatted NTFS, but almost everyone uses NTFS these days. It scanned and sorted an overly full one terabyte drive in under 10 seconds. I thought that was fast. It then scanned and sorted 475 gigabytes of data on a two terabyte USB drive in UNDER ONE SECOND. Wow! I almost fell off my chair! I'm still in awe. One click will show the "Top 1,000 Largest Files" on your drive...a very handy feature. Again, full, sorted results almost instantly. A very useful and speedy application for your disk management tool-box. It's now one of my "essentials." Great job, Antibody Software! show Review details
